Here is what to expect when hiring a cook during your stay at Villa Modica.

Before you leave or at time of booking.

If having a cook is an important requirement, inform us before arriving at the villa or when you have arrived,we need at least 2 days notice to make sure the chef is available.

If available please decide when and how many times you require the chef's services.

Inform us of your requirements letting us know if you have any special dietary requirements, like allergies, people who don't eat meat, shellfish, etc. Remember that the food will only be traditional Sicilian cuisine.

You can expect up to a 4 course meal consisting of antipasto, a pasta dish, a second course (meat or fish) and a dessert,fruit,coffee or tea,limoncello. To give you an idea of the kind of things you may eat, please look at our recipes . One thing is sure that the ingredients will be always fresh for whatever you choose to eat, when you are here in Sicily you will notice the difference freshness makes. Your choice of ingredients such as meat or fish will be communicated to the chef and if you have a favorite dish, we will try to accommodate if ingredients are available in season and fresh.

Please note that this service is subject to availability. The chef will be paid directly, for both the ingredients (receipts will be provided) and for the service at the cost of 15 Euros per hour.

On the day that you requested the cook she will do all the necessary food shopping. You will be responsible for choosing or buying your own wine or the chef can do it for you.

At the end of dinner the cook will present the receipts for the food shopping. At this time it is right to settle the whole bill,reimburse the cost of the food and pay the cook for her services as agreed before.

The cook may prepare the entire meal at the villa in which case will be at the villa for several hours or prepare some of the food at home, depending on the type of dish you have chosen. Please ensure that the kitchen is clean and ready for the cook when she arrives.The cook will prepare the table, once the food is ready the cook will bring out and serve the food and while you are eating the cook will clean the kitchen and wash all the pot's and pan's,cutlery,glasses,ect that have been used.We know you will enjoy the charm of this very Sicilian experience.
